THE best laid plans, as they say...my carefully thought-out posting schedule went right out the window this week, due to circumstances beyond my control. Well, I suppose attending a Super Bowl get-together to watch the Chiefs get absolutely shellacked by the Eagles, much to my satisfaction, was not beyond my control -- nothing like pounding beers at 7 o'clock on a Monday morning -- but everything else has been a bit of a headache. No thanks to Kleinfuhrer Musk and his puppet president for a lot of that; I doubt the American public, or the public in most other places, fully appreciates just how destructive the sudden yanking of US foreign aid has been, or how widespread the damage is.
